okay, this would all be much quicker and handier to use if it was a sidebar.

I've got a concept for emulating the java.math.BigDecimal class in JavaScript -- creating numbers with as many digits as you want. Anybody interested?
Also, will this be a graphing calculator? I've got a sample SVG with JavaScript for graphing purposes...

Here's another calculator that works as a Mozilla sidebar: http://www.cs.hmc.edu/~jruderma/js/calc/. It acts somewhat like the TI-83 home screen, and supports some trigonometry but not graphing. I wrote it a few months ago and haven't had time to fix a few problems, such as using innerHTML (limiting it to Mozilla and IE), but it's usable as-is.

Alex, I, currently mozCalcs only developer, am certainly interested in any piece of code which would improve mozCalc.
And as for the graphing: I haven't thought about that one before, but why not. EVerything possible with the lizard shoul be done. I am just not quite sure about the UI.

Really hoping that you will update the syntax for Mozilla 0.9 soon.

I like the suggestions about mozCalc in the sidebar. Good practical uses.. and maybe even look into getting it into the main trunk of Mozilla? It's a good app. Would like to see graphing and maybe some UI changes. Also, the last build I tried, there were no numbers on the number buttons. The menus were reduced to one letter?
Keep up the great work!

mozCalc does not work with Netscape 6.0, though there is a version available that works for Netscape 6.1 and 6.2.
mozCalc will be updated for Mozilla 0.9.8 if necessary. Though I have to admit, that I didn't spend too much work on the project lately so I only guess that it works with 0.9.7 (XUL changes should not affect the current code).

IMHO is actual MozCalc layout going wrong way. Anybody needs to click on numbers by mouse? No. What normal user (or just power user?) needs is small box (display) and submit. This miniMozCalc version should be expanded by buttons for square roots, memories etc.
- [23] Submitted by: Masi on Sunday February 3rd 2002

Actually you don't need to push the buttons, you should be able to use the keyboard (numpad
A real input box would mean parsing the expression as mozclac does not simply do a JS eval. So, that's what I don't want to do. Volunteers are obviously welcome.
Just displaying the numbers, operators and functions the way thay are displayed would be easier but would awkward. Think of:
1 + 3 sin <enter>
OTOH, you would see what you have enterd so far. Help still appreciated :-)

Hi,
I like the idea of a pop-up calculator in the web browser.
Here is some feedback on the RPN mode.
In RPN mode, it would be nice if the = key became the enter key so that you don't need to hit the enter key on the keyboard to use the calculator.
Also, it would be nice if it worked like most RPN calculators, and pushed the result from a calculation up the stack when you entered new numbers.
If you would like to see some other RPN calculators, check out www.hpmuseum.org and www.hpcalc.org

I have never been able to get Mozcalc to show up on Mozilla 1.x despite a number of installations that tell me they are successful. There is no Task menu in Moz 1.x, and MozCalc doesn't show up on the Tools menu. I can't find it in Phoenix, either.
Is Mozcalc a goner?

Got the same fault as Mike Shock two months ago.
I was looking for some nice chrome component to play with, wouldn't it be nice if calling mozcalc using a chrome:// URL would take arguments. Then you could make a keyboardlet bookmark and type "calc 125*12" to get the calculator running.

Google has just added new options on research among the Anglo-Saxon topicality The section seeks advanced tool of research in the news indeed now makes it possible to limit research to certain publications (for example New York Times), or certain dates. For the initiates, these options of research were already known but not yet officially accessible by the form from search for Google.
